The Grumman EA-6B Prowler was the U.S. Navy’s premier carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft for decades, designed to suppress and disrupt enemy radar and communications systems in support of strike operations. Derived from the A-6 Intruder airframe, the EA-6B featured a four-person crew and was equipped with advanced electronic countermeasures systems, including the AN/ALQ-99 jamming pods and the ability to carry AGM-88 HARM missiles for the suppression of enemy air defenses.
