Horacio Pagani strongly wanted the restoration of a car that marked the history of the car factory he founded. The restoration of Zonda C12 chassis 001 was possible thanks to a team of expert craftsmen from the Italian motor valley company. We could have told a completely different story if, after the many kilometers of running-in and even the usage for crash tests, the first example of Zonda had been destined for demolition. Starting from the jealously guarded drawings, most of the components were restored and all the missing pieces were reproduced.
The first Pagani in history, the Zonda C12, chassis number 001, was exhibited at the 1999 Geneva International Motor Show and made the San Cesario Sul Panaro atelier known to the world.
