Ferrari take a gamble to run with a one-stop strategy when almost all the competitors preferred two. Also the tyre management was important: the Medium tyres showed signs of degradation very early so Charles switched to the Hard on lap 15 and from then on, his race took an altogether different turn.
As always happens with a Ferrari victory, the crowd of Tifosi transformed the main straight below the podium into a red sea, invading the track.
