Dream Customs Diecast Displays & Diorama Accessories
Dream Customs is a collector-focused brand specializing in display products and accessories designed to make scale-model collections more immersive, realistic, and visually appealing. While the brand also offers selected diecast models, Dream Customs is particularly associated with 1:64 scale dioramas, display mats, lightboxes, display cases, and accessories created around the needs of diecast collectors and photographers.
At DiecastModelsWholesale.com, the Dream Customs selection gives collectors a way to complement their diecast cars with dedicated display accessories rather than simply placing models on a shelf. Current DMW listings include Dream Customs desktop display mats, including Liberty Walk and LB designs.
Dream Customs for 1:64 Diecast Collectors
The 1:64 scale format is one of the most popular sizes for modern diecast collecting, particularly for JDM, tuner, racing, and custom-car models. Dream Customs has developed products specifically around this collecting environment, including desktop dioramas and display surfaces that create realistic settings for small-scale vehicles.
Dream Customs' own product range includes collections such as Desktop Dioramas, Hako Modular Display Cases, 1:64 Accessories, Custom Accessories, and Diecast Models.
This makes Dream Customs products useful for several different types of collectors:
- 1:64 diecast car collectors
- JDM and Japanese car enthusiasts
- Liberty Walk and modified-car collectors
- Diecast photographers
- Diorama builders
- Display and model-room enthusiasts
- Collectors who want more realistic backgrounds for their vehicles
Desktop Dioramas for Diecast Models
A desktop diorama can turn a single model car or a group of vehicles into a small-scale automotive scene. Instead of displaying a car against a plain background, a detailed road, parking area, car meet, or urban environment provides context and depth.
Dream Customs produces a variety of 1:64 desktop dioramas representing roads, parking areas, and automotive environments. Examples from the brand include the Tatsumi 2nd PA Desktop Diorama, Motion Series designs, carpark displays, and collaborations with other automotive and diecast brands.
The Tatsumi 2nd PA design, for example, is built around the visual idea of Japan's Tatsumi Parking Area and provides multiple angled parking spaces for 1:64 vehicles. Its printed surface is designed for both display and photography, while its rubber base and stitched edge make it practical as a desktop display mat.
Dream Customs Display Mats
Dream Customs display mats provide a simple way to create a dedicated scene for a collection without requiring a large permanent diorama.
DMW currently carries the Desktop Display Mat "Liberty Walk" by Dream Customs, as well as an LB Logo version. These designs are particularly relevant to collectors of customized Japanese performance cars and Liberty Walk-style models.
Display mats can also be useful for photography. A realistic printed environment helps establish scale and gives small diecast models a more convincing setting for collection photographs, social-media posts, or hobby documentation.
Dream Customs describes its diorama mats as using a synthetic fabric surface, anti-slip rubber base, high-density stitched edges, and detailed printing intended for diecast photography and display.
Hako Display Cases and Lightboxes
Another important part of the Dream Customs concept is the Hako display system. Dream Customs offers modular display products designed to place scale vehicles inside a more controlled scene, with some versions incorporating lighting.
The brand's Hako 2.0 products are designed around 1:64 scale model cars and include different scene designs, including road environments and automotive-themed settings. Dream Customs has also produced larger Hako products intended for 1:18 and 1:24 models.
For collectors who want both presentation and photography, a lighted display environment can help separate the model from the background and create a more deliberate miniature automotive scene.
Liberty Walk and Automotive Culture
Dream Customs has a particularly strong connection with modern Japanese automotive culture. The company has collaborated with Liberty Walk, producing display products and dioramas featuring the tuning brand's visual identity. Dream Customs has also documented collaborations and products created around Liberty Walk's showrooms and automotive events.
This makes Dream Customs accessories a natural complement to collections featuring Liberty Walk, LBWK, JDM, tuner, stance, and customized vehicles.
Collectors can also pair Dream Customs displays with models from other manufacturers. For example, DMW's Liberty Walk collection includes 1:64 Mini GT models as well as larger-scale Liberty Walk vehicles from brands such as Solido and Jada.
Diecast Photography and Collection Displays
One of the advantages of a dedicated diorama is that it serves more than one purpose. A display mat can remain on a desk or shelf as part of a collection while also functioning as a backdrop for photographing individual models.
Dream Customs has specifically positioned several of its products around diecast photography, with realistic printed environments designed to make small-scale vehicles appear within a larger automotive setting.
For collectors photographing 1:64 models, a consistent background can also make a collection look more cohesive. Different scenes can be used to create different visual themes, from urban streets and parking areas to racing or highway environments.
Complement Your Diecast Collection
Dream Customs products work especially well when combined with other 1:64 collectibles. A collector might use a display mat with JDM sports cars, customized vehicles, race cars, trucks, or other small-scale models to create a miniature car-meet or street scene.
The brand's broader catalog also includes accessories and display products, while Dream Customs has expanded into selected diecast models and collaborations. Its own catalog lists 1:64 accessories, custom accessories, display products, and diecast models among its collections.
