Upcoming Releases

Stay ahead of the latest additions to the diecast hobby with Upcoming Releases at DiecastModelsWholesale.com. This category brings together collectible diecast models and other scale-model products that are scheduled for future release, giving collectors a convenient place to discover new models before they become available.

The selection changes as manufacturers announce and prepare new products, making Upcoming Releases a dynamic category for collectors who want to keep track of new cars, trucks, racing models, limited editions, movie and television vehicles, JDM models, commercial vehicles, and other collectible subjects.

Current listings can include both Future Release products and, depending on the catalog status, items that have recently become available. Product availability and release timing can change, so always check the individual product page for the latest information.

What Are Upcoming Diecast Releases?

An upcoming release is a model that has been announced or listed by the manufacturer or distributor but is not yet generally available for immediate shipment. These products are commonly added to manufacturer release schedules before they reach collectors.

For diecast collectors, following upcoming releases can be useful for several reasons. It allows you to discover new subjects early, keep track of models from your favorite manufacturers, and plan future additions to your collection.

Upcoming models can range from relatively affordable 1:64 scale cars to larger and more detailed 1:18 scale models, commercial trucks, racing replicas, limited editions, and other specialty releases.

The DMW Upcoming Releases category currently includes a broad mix of future products from manufacturers such as Greenlight, Mini GT, IXO Models, DCP/First Gear, ACME, Sun Star, Autoart, Pop Race, Spark, Tarmac Works, and others. The exact selection changes as new products are announced and release schedules are updated.

Discover New Models Before They Arrive

For collectors, one of the most useful aspects of an upcoming-release category is the ability to discover products before they transition into regular in-stock inventory.

Rather than waiting for a new model to appear in a general search, you can browse future releases by looking through the latest additions and identifying subjects that fit your collection.

Depending on current manufacturer schedules, you may find:

• New diecast cars and trucks
• Classic and vintage vehicles
• Modern sports and exotic cars
• JDM and tuner models
• Racing and Formula 1 models
• Big rigs and commercial trucks
• Construction and work vehicles
• Police, emergency, and service vehicles
• Movie and television vehicles
• Limited-edition releases
• Special-edition and hobby-exclusive models
• Multi-car sets
• Military and aviation models
• Other scale-model collectibles

The selection is continually changing, so the category is intended to be revisited regularly rather than treated as a static product collection.

Popular Scales in Upcoming Releases

Upcoming models are available in a variety of scales. The scale is an important consideration because it determines how large the finished model will be relative to the real vehicle and how it will fit with other models in your collection.

1:64 Scale

1:64 is particularly prominent among upcoming releases and is popular with collectors who enjoy building larger collections while using relatively little display space.

Current future releases include 1:64 models from manufacturers such as Mini GT, Greenlight, IXO Models, Pop Race, Tarmac Works, and others. Subjects range from sports cars and JDM vehicles to racing cars, pickups, trucks, and specialty releases.

1:43 Scale

1:43 scale provides a balance between compact size and visible detail. Upcoming releases can include passenger cars, racing vehicles, trucks, and commercial subjects.

This scale is especially useful for collectors who want detailed models without the larger footprint of 1:18 vehicles.

1:18 Scale

1:18 models provide a larger display presence and are often chosen for highly detailed collector displays. Upcoming releases can include classic cars, racing cars, specialty vehicles, and limited editions.

The current DMW selection includes future 1:18 releases from manufacturers including Sun Star, ACME, Autoart, Spark, and Tecnomodel.

Other Scales

Upcoming releases are not limited to these three scales. Depending on manufacturer and subject, future products can appear in other scales, including larger commercial vehicles and specialty models. Always check the individual product listing for the exact scale.

Upcoming Cars, Trucks and Commercial Vehicles

The category covers much more than passenger cars. Collectors interested in trucks and commercial vehicles can find future releases representing classic and modern American trucking, European commercial vehicles, trailers, agricultural equipment, refuse trucks, and other specialized vehicles.

Current future-release listings include products such as Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Mack, International, and other commercial vehicles in scales including 1:64, 1:43, and 1:34. Some releases combine tractors with trailers or specialized bodies, creating larger and more elaborate display models.

Collectors interested specifically in heavy-duty vehicles can also explore the Big Rigs & Semi Trucks category.

Racing and Motorsport Releases

New racing models are an important part of the diecast release calendar. Upcoming products can commemorate specific races, teams, drivers, championships, or historic motorsport cars.

Future listings can include Formula 1, endurance racing, GT racing, and other competition vehicles. For example, current DMW future releases include Spark models representing a Porsche GT3 R associated with the 2026 Suzuka 1000Km and Mini GT Formula 1 releases.

For collectors focused on competition vehicles, browse the Racing Models category for the broader selection.

Limited Editions and Special Releases

Some upcoming models are particularly interesting to collectors because they are offered as limited or special editions. These can include special liveries, event versions, hobby exclusives, licensed movie vehicles, collaborative projects, or other variations of an existing model.

Examples in the current upcoming-release selection include limited-edition Mini GT models, Greenlight hobby exclusives, ACME limited editions, and special Hot Wheels sets.

A limited designation does not necessarily mean that every future release will have the same production quantity or availability terms. Product pages should be checked for the manufacturer's specific information when a production number is provided.

Movie, TV and Pop Culture Releases

Upcoming releases can also be useful for collectors who build collections around entertainment franchises.

Future listings may include vehicles associated with movies, television series, anime, or other pop-culture subjects. Current examples include Mini GT releases representing vehicles from the Fast & Furious and James Bond franchises, as well as future Hot Wheels multi-car sets.

These models can be collected independently or combined with other vehicles from the same franchise.

Why Collectors Follow Future Releases

Collecting diecast models is often an ongoing process rather than a one-time purchase. Manufacturers continuously introduce new castings, color variations, racing versions, licensed subjects, and special editions.

Following upcoming releases can help collectors:

Track Favorite Manufacturers

If you collect a particular brand, checking future releases can make it easier to identify new models before they arrive.

Follow Specific Vehicle Types

Collectors may focus on a particular marque, vehicle generation, racing series, truck manufacturer, or subject. Upcoming releases provide a way to watch for new additions that match those interests.

Build Themed Collections

Future releases can help expand themes such as JDM, muscle cars, Formula 1, American trucks, European sports cars, movie vehicles, or classic automobiles.

Plan Display Space

Larger models, multi-car sets, and specialized trucks can require considerably more display space than standard 1:64 cars. Knowing about future products ahead of time gives collectors an opportunity to plan their displays.

Understanding Future Release Dates

Release dates for collectible models should generally be treated as estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates. Manufacturing schedules, production changes, shipping, and other logistical factors can affect when a product becomes available.

For this reason, an Upcoming Release listing does not necessarily mean that the model will arrive on a specific day. The individual product page is the best place to check the current release information available for that model.

It is also possible for a product's status to change from future release to in stock as inventory arrives. DMW's Upcoming Releases page provides filters that allow shoppers to distinguish between All In Stock and Future Releases products.

Upcoming Releases and Pre-Order Planning

Collectors often use future-release listings to identify models they want to purchase when available. When evaluating a future product, consider more than just the vehicle itself.

Before ordering or planning for a release, check:

• Manufacturer
• Vehicle or subject
• Scale
• Edition or series
• Product specifications
• Expected release information
• Current price
• Limited-production information when provided
• Packaging or display-case information when applicable

This is particularly useful for larger models and limited editions, where the specifications can differ significantly from standard releases.

A Category That Changes With the Diecast Market

Unlike evergreen categories such as classic cars or pickup trucks, Upcoming Releases naturally changes as manufacturers introduce new products and older future releases become available.

That makes it one of the most useful categories for collectors who want to stay current with the hobby. A model that appears as a future release today may move into regular inventory once it arrives, while newly announced products can take its place.

At DMW, the category currently spans hundreds of products across multiple pages, with the exact product count changing as releases are added and inventory status changes.
